January’s live bands at New Division

The music events at popular Nicosia bar New Division don’t stop. After an eventful December with back-to-back sets from guest DJs and parties, New Division has prepared another month of music events including evenings with live performances.

Kicking off January’s live shows is an energetic set by the band Minus One on Thursday. The event will be the band’s first live party of the year and with their groovy covers and hits from the 80s and 90s to today, Minus One will put on a dance party show. Andreas Kapatais will be on lead vocals, Constantinos Amerikanos and Harrys Pari will be on guitars and vocals, Orestis Savva on bass guitar and Chris Ioannides on drums.

The next live music Thursday, as all live performances at New Division are on a Thursday, will be January 19 with Private Garden. The rock trio with singer/guitarist Nikolas Christodoulou, Max Daniels on bass and Stefanos Meletiou on drums will bring their blend of garage and grunge rock to the bar infused with heavy riffs, bluesy vocals and beefy drum grooves.

January’s last live music night at the bar will be an evening with Fuzz Bus. The Psychedelic jazz rockers quartet will return to New Division on January 26 to play a set of infused jazz blended with soul, funk and pop-rock. The quartet’s sound heavily relies on improvisation blending folk, rock, psychedelic, jazz, spiritual jazz and blues.
