Throughout three Saturdays in May, the Department of Antiquities will organise a morning workshop for children at the charming garden of the Cyprus Museum. On Saturday 6, 13 and 27, children are invited to visit the temporary exhibition that is currently on at the Museum titled In the Same Place which features watercolours by Katerina Attalidou and then participate in a fun watercolour workshop.

The workshop titled The Lion in the Garden will take place in the Museum’s green garden between 10.30am and 12.30pm, led by the artist Stefanos Karambambas. Children above the age of 8 can join the free event and discover the world of watercolours. The exhibition’s artist Katerina Attalidou will be present at two of the events, on Saturday 6 and 27.

In the Same Place is open until September 10 and features 86 watercolour artworks which converse in a way with the Cyprus Museum’s permanent collection. The exhibition brings the landscape to the forefront, inviting spectators to consider how these unique natural, archaeological and historical surroundings have determined the course of the island’s history and how vital they are for studying and understanding past and present societies.
