160 litres of untaxed petrol confiscated

Police have confiscated 160 litres of petrol, as well as 107 boxes of cigarettes and 12 boxes of tobacco, from a vehicle on the road between the villages of Kato Moni and Menoiko.

The driver, a 45-year-old man, was taken by police along with the confiscated products to the Astromeritis crossing point and handed over to customs.

The customs department has started an investigation.
