Government set to launch Youth Culture Card

A Youth Culture Card will be announced in the next week in cooperation with the deputy ministry of culture, President Nikos Christodoulides said on Saturday night.

At the opening of an exhibition, he said the support of and promotion of culture is one of the main objectives of his government.

He also referred to a bill to protect the professional status of artists.

The Youth Card, was a pre-election pledge and aims at giving financial support to young people to come closer to culture and contemporary artistic creation.

He noted that culture is a living and dynamic mechanism that, among many other positive effects on our daily lives, determines our identity and educates our society.
