Lazy Dragon completes 2023 for Nicosia International Festival

166

After 18 years of life, The Lazy Dragon emerged from his cave a year ago and landed together with his creator George Hadjipieris, at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre where he performed his songs live for the first time at the Nicosia International Festival 2022.

After their sold-out performances at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall and the Athens Concert Hall, they return back home for a triumphant ending to the Nicosia International Festival 2023. Audiences of all ages will get to enjoy this heart-warming performance on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The Lazy Dragon is a musical performance that only a director like Konstantinos Rigos can create,” say organisers. “The spectacular show for all ages features the songs that have been passionately loved by children of all ages performed by Eleni Tsaligopoulou, Fivos Delivorias, Rena Morfi, Yannis Dionysiou and the composer himself, the children’s choir New Horizons by Anthi Papafilippou and a group of the Nicosia Municipality Children’s Choir.”

The music will be brought to life by a ten-member orchestra under the direction of Yannis Papazachariakis who has also adapted the original orchestrations by Marios Takoussis, with dancers Fotini Mouchtouri and Nikos Gonidis giving movement and grace to the stage.
