The federation of employers and industrialists (Oev) on Friday announced changes in its composition which will go into effect on January 1.

Among them, Deputy General Manager Kostas Christofides is set to retire after 41 years of service. Chrostofides was hired in 1983 and rose through the organisation’s ranks, “serving the Cypriot business community with zeal and dedication [and] gaining the appreciation and recognition of all,” Oev said in its statement.

Christofides will remain available to contribute to the smooth handover of his responsibilities, through June 2024.

Lena Panayiotou will take the seat of Assistant General Manager, and along with her new duties will also remain head of Labour Relations and Social Policy, a role she has held since 2017. Panayiotou has served at Oev since 2004, immediately upon completion of her studies in law and political science at the University of Leeds.

The deputy director of the same department, Paris Anastasiou, is to be promoted to the position of director of Business Development. Anastasiou has held various positions in Oev since 1997, after completing accounting and finance studies at Southbank University as well as completing the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA) exams.

Maria Stylianou Theodorou, until now head of the above department, is to be promoted to the position of director of the Human Resources. Theodorou served the organisation in various positions of responsibility since 2006, having studied business administration at the University of Leicester and international employment relations and human resources management at the London School of Economics (LSE).

Other management positions in Oev are held by Andri Dimitriades, as director of Energy & Environment, Antonis Fragoudis, as director of Administration & Finance, Giula Gypsioti as head of Administration and Michalis Antoniou, as General manager.

The complete organizational structure of Oev with detailed biographies of all executives, is available on the Organization’s website.
