Motivational stories, inspiring speeches and a world of ideas are coming to Limassol this month as a new event takes place. Set against the backdrop of the old port of Limassol, TEDxMolos will present an evening of thought-provoking talks and connections on March 27. Following in the footsteps of TEDx events around the world, the one-day events will see invited guests speak about Local Legends: From Passion to Change.

TEDx events are renowned around the globe and they are no stranger to Cyprus either. This one invites speakers and curious audience members down to Molos for an inspiring evening that will begin at 6.30pm.

This year’s theme, Local Legends: From Passion to Change, focuses on the power of small steps, the impact of local initiatives and the collective passion that fuels transformative action. Invited to dive into the topic are speakers Dr Marianna Prokopiou, Philippos Aristotelous, Stylianos Lambrou, Natallia Miranchuk and Sofia Popovidou.

“We believe in the extraordinary potential of ordinary individuals,” say organisers. “Our speakers represent a kaleidoscope of backgrounds, from entrepreneurs and activists to scientists and artists. What unites them is a commitment to leveraging their passion to instigate positive change within the community.”

The event begins with a networking session before the talks take off around 7pm and an hour later a wine break and a musical performance by Andria Michael will entertain the crowd. A second round of talks will take place after 8.30pm with the event concluding around 10pm.

“Join us,” conclude the TEDxMolos organisers, “as these local legends take the stage to share their stories, insights, and experiences, illustrating the profound impact that passionate individuals can have on local landscapes”.
