Police looking for 31-year-old after Paphos burglary

Paphos police are looking for a man in connection with a burglary committed on Wednesday.

A 61-year-old man reported to police that his apartment was broken into and various coins were stolen from the living room between 6am and 5pm.

Police officers at the scene found the perpetrator had forced the main door of the flat open to gain entry.

A neighbour reported seeing a person holding a knife and breaking into the home.

Further investigations revealed the suspect is a 31-year-old resident of Paphos who is known to the authorities from the past.

An arrest warrant was issued against him and he is wanted for the burglary and for carrying a knife.
