Coronavirus: Police book 97 people and one establishment for violating measures

Police reported 97 people and one establishment in the past 24 hours, while enforcing health and safety decrees issued by the government to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

According to the force’s media office, between 6am Friday and 6am Saturday, officers carried out 9,350 checks across the Republic.

The majority of the offenders were found in Limassol, where officers booked 52 individuals.

In Larnaca, they also issued a fine to the manager of an establishment.
