Nicosia street quest in French

street quest 2

A special orientation card, a pencil, a list of questions, a phone, and you’re all set to go for an outdoor activity. An upcoming street quest in Nicosia will have participants investigating the old town through a fun, mental and physical game that can be played by all.

This event, organised as part of the Month of Francophonie by the French Institute of Cyprus, in collaboration with Nicosia Street Quest, the Orientation club – Orienteering in Cyprus and the CVAR, will take place on Saturday, March 20, the International Day of Francophonie.

You can register the same day at CVAR/Severis Foundation and start the race immediately, between 9.30am and 11.30am. You will then have up to 90 minutes to find as many of the 20 points on the map as you can and answer a question at each location.

Whether you are alone, in a group or with your children, you will find what you are looking for by walking around, paying attention to words in French that dot the old town of Nicosia and rediscovering the historic centre from a new angle: that of Francophonie. The questions will be available in Greek, French and English so that as many people as possible can participate.

Winners will be rewarded with baskets filled with French gastronomic products offered by Lambis Constantinides Cie. Though the event aims to be all fun and games, the organisers remind participants that social distancing rules must be respected and of course, masks are compulsory.
