Coronavirus: All businesses checked correctly carrying out tests

No violations were recorded during checks on 3,406 employees in the last week to ensure they undertake mandatory weekly rapid tests, the health ministry said on Monday.

Between March 1 and 5, the health services checked 1,060 businesses to determine whether they complied with the mandatory testing of a percentage of their employees every week.

The ministry said checks were carried out in 145 barber and hair salons where they checked 236 employees, 51 beauty salons where officials checked 78 employees, 175 supermarkets and grocery stores where 963 employees were checked and 121 kiosks where 255 employees were checked and 568 food companies where 1,874 employees were checked.

“Health Services’ checks in businesses will continue and employers and employees are again called upon to demonstrate maximum compliance,” the ministry said.
