Coronavirus: Parents protest continued school closures

The parents of gymnasium pupils protested outside the presidential palace on Monday over the government decision to keep schools closed because of the Covid pandemic.

The gymnasiums, which include the first three years of high school, are scheduled to reopen on Friday April 2.

Lyceum (years four, five, and six) pupils, have been going to class normally with weekly rapid antigen tests.

Primary schools are also open except in Limassol, which is seeing a surge in coronavirus infections.
