Unstable weather, rain and thunderstorms ahead

Isolated rains and thunderstorms have been forecast by the met office for Wednesday and Thursday, while it may snow in the higher mountains at night.

According to the early morning forecast, the weather will be mostly clear on Wednesday morning, but rain and storms are expected in the afternoon and the evening.

Temperatures will rise to 21C inland, 20C in coastal areas and 11C around Troodos.

At night, they will drop to 5C inland and minus 1C in Troodos.

On Thursday, more rain and thunderstorms are expected, especially in the west and the mountains.

The same pattern has been forecast for Friday, but towards the evening the weather is likely to clear.

Temperatures will drop on Thursday but rise again on Friday and Saturday, reaching levels which are normal for early April.
