Former bishop set to be taken to court over sexual harassment claims

ΛΕΜΕΣΟΣ – ΛΗΣΤΕΙΑ ΥΠΑΛΛΗΛΟΥ ΕΤΑΙΡΕΙΑΣ

Police have received a new sexual harassment complaint and will also be pressing charges against a former bishop for two separate complaints, spokesman Christos Andreou said on Tuesday.

Andreou told the Cyprus News Agency that a new complaint had been logged on Tuesday.

At the same time, the Law Office has returned a file for two cases against a member of the clergy who previously held a bishop’s title, instructing they are taken to court.

Since they first came to light, a total of 25 sexual harassment complaints have been made to the police, Andreou added.
