Cat fleas: what are they, and how to spot and get rid of them

Every pet deserves a loving and respectful home: please only consider acquiring a pet if you will be able to take care of its long-term needs. Also, consider choosing your animal companion from a shelter, where there are so many wonderful furry friends who need a forever home.

When it comes to fleas and our beloved cats, the truth is that both outdoor and indoor felines are vulnerable targets. While outdoor cats may encounter fleas on a reasonably regular basis, there are many ways fleas get to indoor cats, too – such as from other household pets, or even from us directly, as fleas can hitch a ride into our home on our clothing.

Thankfully, there are ways of combatting this minute pest, and in this video, veterinarian Dr. Martina Eyre-Brook goes over the dos and don’ts, so that forewarned is forearmed.
