How conservationists are saving South Africa’s painted dogs

The African wild dog, also known as the African painted dog, has been nearly hunted to extinction, being considered a pest. Little has been known about the creatures’ sensitive nature and deep bonds of loyalty to their packs.

Fortunately, as we learn in this video, some conservationists are uniting packs across South Africa to boost the canines’ diversity and save the species.
