Cyprus’ Foreign Ministry has expressed deep concern over the escalation of violence in the Middle East.

The Ministry said in a post on its Twitter account that they are “deeply concerned by the latest escalation of violence and by the barrage of rockets fired indiscriminately from #Gaza against civilian population in Israel.”

“This is totally unacceptable and must end now. We urge restraint on all sides, calling on them to engage in de-escalatory efforts,” the Ministry noted.
