Police on Monday arrested a 60-year-old man on suspicion of purchasing and owning child pornography.
They said that a warrant was issued after the cybercrime unit received information that a person in Cyprus was purchasing child pornography from abroad.
A mobile phone was seized by police and kept as evidence.
The case is being investigated further by the Cyprus police cybercrime unit.
