The Paphos Piano series launches

natalia lezedova 2

Starting this June, the Paphos Piano Series will bring a series of small, intimate, solo piano recitals to the west coast. Some of the best pianists in Cyprus are said to be involved and the first performance of the series is coming up in June. Curated by Galina Dimova and organised by Paphos Music Lovers, each recital aims to uplift and inspire with a repertoire of well-loved and lesser-known masterpieces.

Though it aims to hold a series of events, just one recital is on the agenda for the time being. Pianist Anita Tomasevich was initially scheduled to perform yet due to unexpected health circumstances Natalia Lezedova will now entertain Paphos audiences in late June. Natalia will perform Bach, Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Gershwin, Piazzolla, Lyadov, Pechkovsky and more on June 19 at Markideion Theatre.

The pianist is a graduate of the Musical Faculty of the State Pedagogical University of Russia, and she also has postgraduate studies in Musical Art. She attended an advanced training course from the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory and is also a laureate of five international competitions, among them: two first prizes as a performer-soloist, winner of the Grand-Prix music festival competition Severnaya Venetsia and first prize laureate as a concertmaster. In recent years she has arranged many concerts in Cyprus, most of them for charity, has collaborated with musicians from Russia, Cyprus, Italy, French, Germany and UK and this June she returns to the Paphos stage.
