Roadworks on major roads in Limassol and Nicosia

The department of public works have announced that on June 4 and 5 road works will be carried out on Nicosia’s Spyros Kyprianou between 10pm and 6am.

During the upgrade, the two traffic lanes heading to Tseriou Avenue will be closed and the traffic will be directed to Constantinopoleos Street.

More road works are also taking place in the capital on June 6 between 6am and 6pm on Salaminos Avenue from where the road intersects Pouliou Kapota Avenue to where Larnaca Avenue starts. During the works, traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lanes.

Furthermore, 5am on June 4 until 5am on June 7, Makarios Avenue from the Lycavitos police station to the Kalavrita Street will be closed to the traffic due to scheduled maintenance carried out by the Nicosia sewerage board.

In Limassol, a portion of the Nikos and Despina Pattichis Street, specifically from Makarios Avenue to Spyros Kyprianou Avenue, will be closed to traffic on June 6 and 13 from 5.30am to 8.30pm.

Finally, the tunnel between Limassol and Paphos will also undergo road works between June 7 and June 11, and between June 14 and June 17.

On both occasions, traffic in the tunnel will only operate in two lanes from 8am to 7pm each day.
