Areas of Latsia and Yeri were left without power on Sunday afternoon when high winds caused trees to be blown onto power lines.

The high winds occurred at lunchtime and according to Electricity Authority spokeswoman Christina Papadopoulou maintenance crews were out trying to solve the problem.

She said a tree had blown onto power lines in Yeri and that something similar had happened in Latsia.
