The winners for the best designs for the upcoming first sustainable park in Cyprus were awarded earlier this month at the Cine Studio of the University of Nicosia by the university itself, Engomi municipality and the Cyprus Sustainable Tourism Initiative (CSTI).

The winners were: Elena Tsolaki, Christos Savva and Ario Racho. Senior officer at the forestry department Takis Papachristoforou was also honoured for his valuable contribution to flora.

The park aims to optimise interactive learning especially for children. Its implementation is based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations for 2030. Engomi municipality and the University of Nicosia are searching for sponsors to cover the costs.
