Study skills for kids: how exercise boosts studying

Hey kids, in this ‘Study Skills’ series of videos, we’re going to learn, step-by-step, the best approaches to become a studying powerhouse.

And in this 10th and final video in the series, we’ll examine the importance of physical health in being the best learner we can be.

Here, Crash Course YouTube channel host Thomas Frank emphasises the need for exercise in maintaining a healthy mind, pointing out the dangers of rising obesity in many of today’s more sedentary young people.

He also explains the role of exercise and neuroplasticity in growing our brain’s neural network. Neuroplasticity is the ability of neural networks in the brain to change through growth and reorganisation.
