Coronavirus: Police issue 27 fines for health and safety violations

Police have reported 27 people over the past 24 hours, including five managers of businesses, for various violations of health and safety measures against the coronavirus.

By 6am Saturday, police officers had carried out 3,319 checks across the Republic with most offenders reported in Limassol.

Nicosia police conducted 1,174 checks and reported four individuals and one business, while officers in Limassol carried out 185 checks and issued fines to seven individuals and one business.

In Larnaca, police reported three individuals and one establishment after 564 checks while officers in Paphos did 457 checks and reported two businesses and one individual.

Officers reported seven people in Famagusta following 731 checks.
