A 37-year-old Paphos resident was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of assaulting two other men.

The incident emerged after the three men visited the Paphos general hospital with multiple injuries.

According to the police, the suspect met with two other men, aged 50 and 41, on Tuesday afternoon, when they allegedly had an argument.

The 37-year-old appears to have physically assaulted the other men, using his fists but also a screwdriver with which he injured the 50-year-old man.

He is also suspected of breaking the windshield of the 41-year-old’s car.

Then, the three arrived at the hospital where doctors diagnosed the two older men with bruises on their hands and face, while the eldest had a half centimetre depth wound on his right hand.

The suspect had a head injury which needed stitches.

Police said he is being investigated for assault, causing bodily harm and malicious damage, and carrying a sharp object.
