Books, books and more books at 6th Nicosia Book Fest

Nicosia Book Fest 2021 returns this autumn for a physical festival on October 9 and 10 at Acropolis Park. After last year’s first digital version, the annual festival is ready to return to its usual spot for a packed festival enticing bookworms and lovers of literature.

On October 8, educational workshops and seminars will take place at the park as well as some presentations of new publications and discussions. The festival will officially open its gates to the wider public on October 9 and 10 and will hold events from 10am until 10pm. Entrance to the festival is free and all ages and backgrounds are welcomes.

More than 50 bookstalls will take part, from publishing houses and bookstores to writers’ unions, universities, foreign cultural institutes and embassies. Part of this year’s programme are 16 literature presentations, 16 presentations for children, four workshops, a music performance and a small theatre production. Apart from the book presentations and discussions, several other writers are participating in the festival and in total there are estimated to be around 150 writers sharing and introducing their work over the weekend. A weekend full of words, readings, creative sessions and lots of books!
