Motorcyclist seriously injured in traffic accident

Police are investigating the circumstances under which a 33-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a traffic accident on Sunday in Paphos.

The accident happened on Archbishop Makarios Avenue in Geroskipou.

According to the police, shortly before noon a 67-year-old car driver, with his wife as a front seat passenger, collided with a 33-year-old motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist was seriously injured and was taken to Paphos General Hospital. He suffered serious injuries and was kept in for further treatment at the hospital.

His doctors described his condition as out of danger. The passenger of the car was also taken to Paphos Hospital, where she received first aid and then was discharged.
