Police rescue man lost in Paphos countryside

Police on Monday said they rescued a 35-year-old man whose car broke down in an unknown location near a 150-metre cliff in Paphos.

According to the announcement, the man, who lives in Limassol, contacted the police station of Kouklia on Sunday and said that his car broke down due to a mechanical failure near a cliff.

The man did not know the exact location but estimated that he was between Orites and Lakkos tou Frangou.

Officers conducted searches and patrols in the area, where they located the 35-year-old, who said he travelled there to find a hunting spot.

He was transferred to the police station with his car. No injuries or damage was reported.
