Paphos police were investigating a knife assault case on Tuesday that led to the injury of a 28-year-old man.

According to Paphos spokesman Michalis Nicolaou, the victim was allegedly beaten up and stabbed by two people in his house in Argaka around 10.30pm on Monday.

He was transferred to the  district’s general hospital where he is treated for head injuries. His condition was described as stable by his doctors.

Police said they would issue two arrest warrants against the culprits, who appear to be siblings.

Preliminary examinations revealed the reason behind the attack was financial differences.
