Police late on Monday said they arrested a 41-year-old man who had escaped from Athalassa psychiatric hospital in Nicosia early in December.
The man was wanted for escaping from legal detention and causing malicious damage.
According to the police, the offences were committed on December 5.
Athalassa is the only state psychiatric hospital in the island that treats people with court-mandated treatment.
