Remand after man suspected of human trafficking

A man suspected of sexually exploiting a young woman earlier this month in Nicosia, was remanded in custody for four days on Monday, police said.

During the investigation of the case, the girl was identified as a victim of trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation.

The suspect was arrested on Sunday and taken before Nicosia District Court on Monday.

The Office for Combating Human Trafficking continues its investigation.
