New assistant chief of police appointed

Justice Minister Stephie Dracou on Tuesday appointed Ioannis Georgiou as the new assistant Chief of Police.

During the appointment ceremony, Dracou congratulated Georgiou for his new role and expressed confidence that he will be able to fully perform his new, important duties.

Ioannou thanked the minister and assured her that he will do his best and to work hard towards achieving all the goals set by the island’s police force.
