Couple arrested with ecstasy pills

Two people, a man and a woman, aged 37 and 46 respectively, have been arrested in Paphos after police said they were found in possession of methamphetamine and ecstasy.

The drugs were seized during the execution of a search warrant at the pair’s residence on Sunday where police said they found two grammes of meth along with 1,388 ecstasy pills weighing 688 grammes.

During further investigations, police said they established that the man was residing illegally in Cyprus. The pair are likely to appear in court later on Monday.
