45-year-old woman was found dead in her home

A 45-year-old woman was found dead in her home in Tremithousa, Paphos on Thursday, with police said to have ruled out foul play.

The woman, who hails from Georgia, was found dead by her husband at around 5.30pm. She was lying on her bed at the time.

Police said they have initially ruled out foul play. The precise cause of death will be determined via an autopsy.

The case is being investigated as a suspected sudden death.

Meanwhile also on Thursday medical examiners performed an autopsy on the body of the 38-year-old British woman who was likewise found dead in her home, a day earlier.

According to a statement, the examination did not reveal any contusions on the body that might have caused death. Tissue and toxicology tests will be carried out. Paphos CID are investigating.
