Man arrested for Limassol car theft case

Police on Thursday arrested a 41-year-old man yesterday, in connection with an investigated case of car theft.

According to police statement, traffic patrol officers stopped a car driven by the 41-year-old man on the Nicosia – Limassol highway near the Pera Chorio exit around 6.50pm.

Following a background check, police determined the vehicle had been reported as stolen to Limassol police on February 21.

The man underwent a preliminary drug test which returned a positive result, and was also booked for driving without a licence or insurance, and without the owner’s consent.

Police are continuing investigations.
