Road death

A 25-year-old Limassol man was killed on Thursday evening after his motorcycle collided with a car on Spyros Kyprianou Avenue in Limassol.

Thanasis Tsakanias died on the way to Nicosia general hospital. He was initially rushed to Limassol hospital but doctors decided to transfer him to the capital due to the severity of his injuries.

Tsakanias was wearing a helmet, police said.

He had collided with a car driven by a 41-year-old. He was tested for alcohol but the indication was zero.

Police said they were investigating the circumstances of the deadly crash.
