Cyclist found dead on side of the road

A 65-year-old British resident of Cyprus who was found on the side of the Kathikas to Polis Chrysohous road on Thursday afternoon, died from natural causes, police said.

According to reports the 65-year-old who had been on his bicycle, was found by a driver who was travelling from Kathikas to Polis Chrysochous at 2.20pm. He was taken to Polis Chrysochous where his death was confirmed.

His body was taken to Paphos General Hospital where a post-mortem will be carried out on Saturday by state pathologist Eleni Antoniou to determine the exact cause of death.

From initial examinations carried out at the scene, police established the 65-year-old died from natural causes.
