One of Europe’s most prestigious conferences on health psychology will be held this year in Cyprus.
The conference of the European Health Psychology Society (EHPS 2015) will be held from September 1 to 5 at the Grand Resort in Limassol and it is expected to attract more than 700 participants from all over the world, organisers said on Monday.
EHPS is a professional organisation formed to promote empirical and theoretical research in Health Psychology. Each year a four-day conference is organised at locations across Europe, with the aim of presenting the most important developments in the field of Health Psychology.
The theme of EHPS 2015 is titled “Principles of behaviour change in health and illness” and it will be consisted with presentations from world renowned researchers, professors and professionals. Keynote speakers include Professors Howard S. Friedman, Susan Michie, Ronan O’Carroll and JoAnne Dahl.
Ten parallel sessions with more than 300 oral presentations from a wide range within health psychology topics will take place during the conference involving symposia, roundtables, participatory sessions, overview talks and workshops.
The conference is co-hosted by the University of Cyprus (Department of Psychology) and the Cyprus Psychologists’ Association.
