Police on Friday were investigating the theft of four gold rings worth over €2,000 from the home of a 44-year-old woman in Sotira, Famagusta.

The theft was reported to police on Thursday. The woman, a bank employee, said the valuables, worth €2,135, were stolen between April 26 and 28.

Investigators found no signs of a break-in though the woman told them she usually leaves doors and windows unlocked when she’s away.

The house does not have an alarm system. The rings were not insured.
