Coronavirus: Police book 45 people and two businesses for violating covid measures


A total of 45 people and two businesses were booked in a span of 24 hours for violating Covid-19 measures, police said on Sunday.

The two businesses were in Larnaca and Nicosia, while in total, 3,115 inspections were carried out.

In Nicosia there were 829 checks with four members of the public getting booked, as well as the one business. In Limassol there were 848 checks resulting in 12 people getting booked and in Larnaca, 366 checks leading to 17 people getting booked along with one business.

There were 387 checks in Famagusta where eight people were booked and four people booked in Paphos after 567 checks.

In Morphou, there were 84 inspections while marine police carried out 84 checks with no bookings.
