Repurposing discards: turning seabed waste into clothing

In this video, we meet Javier Goyeneche, founder of Ecoalf, a sustainable fashion brand that develops fabrics from recycled materials.

In partnership with specialist manufacturers around the world, the brand transforms discarded fishing nets, PET plastic bottles, used tyres, coffee, and post-industrial cotton and wool into high-quality yarns and components for clothing, accessories and footwear.

Its mission has already met with mainstream approval, with Ecoalf having collaborated with Apple, Swatch, Coca-Cola, will.i.am and Barneys New York.

Ever aware of the need to innovate recycled products, Ecoalf manages the full supply chain process, from waste collection to recycling technologies, manufacture, design and retail.
