Promoting solar-powered sewing machines in Mozambique

The Reencontro Association in Maputo, Mozambique runs sewing workshops using machines that run on solar energy, thanks to the pioneering efforts of a company called SolarWorks.

Funded by the European Investment Bank, SolarWorks offers off-grid, solar-powered products and systems that support households and micro-entrepreneurs. The objective is to provide clean, affordable energy, while making productive use of renewable power.
