Angelina Jolie snapped covered in bees for NatGeo campaign

Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie was photographed covered in bees for an important cause, having teamed up with National Geographic to raise awareness about bee conservation and to champion female beekeepers.

The campaign honoured World Bee Day marked on May 20, with the actress sharing her own thoughts with the magazine as to why it’s so crucial for everyone to help protect the bee population.

The Oscar winner also reflected on her intense Nat Geo photo shoot with photographer Dan Winters, revealing that, in spite of how calm she looked as the insects swarmed all over her, at least one got a little too close for comfort. That said, the mum of six added she was grateful for the experience, and that connecting with the bees so closely had felt “lovely”.
