Coronavirus: Two businesses, 17 people fined

Police reported two establishments and 17 individuals in the past 24 hours for failure to observer measures against the coronavirus.

The force said it carried out 2,188 checks across the Republic and issued €500 fines to the manager of a fruit market in Paphos who was not wearing a mask and had no warning signs posted, and a hairdresser in Nicosia that exceeded the permitted customer capacity.

Most of the fines to individuals were issued in Limassol, seven. Three individuals were reported in Nicosia, four in Larnaca, and three in Famagusta.
