Let’s plant swap

claroplants 4

Claroplants is on a mission to grow the plant lovers community of the island. Though a young brand, their trendy products for plant care have been growing in popularity and now their workshops arrive to teach more about the plant world. Their next event on May 1 addresses a topic many are infatuated with these days – how to fill the house with plants!

Taking place at another trendy spot in Limassol, Roots – the Space, Claroplants will welcome workshop participants at 4pm to learn about the world of plants and how to best green a home. The one-hour session will cover the basics of growing houseplants, propagation, hydroponic care, germination and sprouting. Participants will also learn how to grow cactus and succulents in water and how to transform kitchen scraps into beautiful houseplants.

Also included in the €40 workshop fee are lots of goodies. At the end of the workshop, participants will get to take with them a Claroplants plate, a small glass vase, a propagated plant, some seeds and more scraps to grow in water. But that’s not all as once the workshop is over a plant swap event will take place at 5pm, the first of its kind in Cyprus, welcoming more plant lovers to exchange plant cuttings, care tips and mingle.

The way it works is rather straightforward. You bring in a plant you would like to give away and take another one in return that someone else has left. Even guests without a plant to swap will be given a free plant cutting to grow at home. Music, sangria, plant talk and lots of green leaves to exchange will fill Roots – the Space and welcome in May.
