Daily News Briefing

cb october 12

In today’s episode, President Nicos Anastasiades said on Tuesday he had made both correct and wrong decisions during his term as leader.

“The countdown to the end of the term has begun and I will be watching the country’s progress from afar. At some point I hope some of the important reforms during my presidency will be recognised,” Anastasiades said.

In other news, the final plan for the Akamas proposed by the environment department is being examined to find a balanced solution, according to Interior Minister Nicos Nouris.

Elsewhere, as a response to further violent behaviour, the Larnaca district court has banned a 22-year-old man from attending sporting events until his trial date in November after he admitted to bringing flares to an Anorthosis-Apollon clash on Monday. A second person arrested, aged 19, denied all accusations against him.
