IDEA Innovation Centre by the Bank of Cyprus now accepting new applications

Do you have an innovative idea that has the potential to turn into a startup? Need support in knowledge and funding to make it happen? If so, then look no further than the IDEA Innovation Center – the largest innovation and business support organisation in Cyprus.

To date, IDEA has supported the establishment of 82 startups and created more than 90 new jobs. IDEA startups have attracted significant investment capital and business partnerships from Cyprus and abroad, have established their own offices and/or employ staff of their own.

IDEA, which has been awarded by the European Commission, is accepting applications for the eighth consecutive year and is looking for startups that:

  • Develop an innovative product/service or are solving an existing problem in a new, innovative way
  • Consist of a dedicated and capable team of at least two founders
  • Have the potential for global outlook

Through its nine-month programme, IDEA offers each startup a package of cash and services, up to €60.000, covering:

  • Business-creation training to establish your business
  • €20,000 in seed capital
  • Mentoring from accomplished entrepreneurs in niche areas
  • Consultancy services for legal, accounting, marketing and ICT matters
  • Business connections to entrepreneurs (business development), networking and access to angel investors

The deadline for applications is February 24, 2023.

IDEA has the full support of Bank of Cyprus, which leads the way in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as driving digital transformation in Cyprus.
