Paphos man jailed for driving while on drugs

A man was on Friday sentenced to 10 months in prison for driving under the influence of drugs and without insurance.

Deputy Paphos police chief Michalis Nikolaou told CNA on Friday that the 27-year-old also got eight penalty points on his licence.

His licence was also suspended for 12 months, and will be returned once the 27-year-old is released from prison.

Nikolaou said the man had previous run-ins with the police.
