Man in custody over terrorism related offences

A 24-year-old foreign national was remanded in custody for eight days in Limassol on Monday in connection with terrorism related offences.

The man was arrested in the district of Limassol following information received by the counter terrorism bureau.

Police spokesman Christos Andreou confirmed the arrest but declined to provide more details citing public interest and security issues.
