Coronavirus: More SMS requests on Sunday than other days

Most people ask to leave their homes via SMS message on Sundays, when they tend to exercise but also shop, data published by the deputy ministry of research, innovation and digital policy on Monday show.

The number of approved leaves on Sunday was 523,021, up from 318,539 on Thursday, 349,353 on Friday and 400,912 on Saturday.

Shopping for supplies and services remains the most popular thing to do on Saturday, when 191,962 requests were sent for this reason. More people went shopping on Sunday then on Thursday and Friday, however.

On Sunday, people physical exercise was the top reason for being outdoors. While the number of requests for this activity ranged from 62,929 on Thursday to 66,884 on Saturday, peaking at 176,406 on Sunday.

This was also the only day more people asked for physical exercise than reasons covered by number 8 on the list, any other reason justified on the basis of the restrictions.

From Thursday until Saturday, number 8 was the second most popular choice after shopping.
